Attorney Jeremy Goldstein of Jeremy L. Goldstein & Associates LLC will host the spectacular Fountain House charitable wine gala in New York at the Nomad Hotel on May 21. This year’s dinner event honors Jim Finkel with its theme “Mental Illness: You Are Not ‘A Rone'”. Even tickets are $5000 and in addition to a superb meal, the wine dinner will include several vintage wines by E. Guigal. The Fountain House charity gala is in support of people with mental illness, helping them to live a normal life and aid in their recovery.
Fountain House History
Fountain House was first established in 1944 as a support group who called themselves “We Are Not Alone.” By 1948, the group purchased a building with a large fountain in the front that was hailed as a symbol for the group’s goals. The members named the building ‘Fountain House’, and have kept the name ever since.
Fountain House Mission
In addition to helping people with mental illness recover from their conditions, Fountain House also advocates on their behalf to overcome social stigmas and help improve their overall quality of life. Individuals with mental illness often struggle with finding gainful employment and a safe, stable place to live. Every year, Fountain House provides housing for 500 of their members. They help their clients to further their education, helping provide them with the resources they need to find gainful employment so they can support themselves.
